Want to LAUNCH your electrical career on a new HEADING?
Marine Electrics NZ 2017 are looking for keen MARINE or DC ELECTRICIANS to come aboard their flagship office and set sail for a career on the water. We don’t care if you have only ever worked on cars, in houses or in buildings as long as you are willing to learn and physically active with a keen interest in boats.
We do electronic installs and electrical repairs on all manner of sailing and boating craft from kayaks and jet skis to trailer boats and super yachts. No day is ever the same; we promise you that you won’t get bored in this fast paced environment.
Marine Electrics has been part of the Westhaven boating scene for close to 20 years. We service all harbours and marinas around the greater Auckland region (and sometimes further afield) and you will be provided with a van to get you around. Some days you will work in pairs or a team and other days you will be out on your own so being able to work autonomously and being a great time keeper will help you in this role.
Some of the work we do are fish finder and navigation electronic installs, entertainment installs, generators, auto anchors/winches, interior and exterior lighting, batteries, starter motors and anything else on a boat that needs power to make it work!
What can we offer you
A company vehicle, uniform & phone
Great pay for great staff
We offer ongoing training to keep you up to date with changes in the boating electrical market.
A fun team culture – we like to get together outside of work hours when we can
A realistic work environment – we all have families here and we know sometimes life comes first!
What you can bring to us
DC Electrical Qualification or equivalent experience
Confidence working with battery systems, alternators, chargers and starters (generator experience a bonus)
Ability to diagnose engine issues
A keen attitude with a willingness to learn about this exciting ever changing industry
Desire to be part of a team where we all work towards the goal of keeping our customers happy with a professional attitude and tidy, accurate work
A sense of humour – no divas here!
You will need to be physically fit, there is a lot of crawling, climbing and carrying of heavy gear.
If this sounds like you please contact us by sending through your CV today! We would love to meet you and tell you more about what we do and hear about what you can bring to us.
